Starting Over at Steeple Ridge by Liz Isaacson

Synopsis:

Tucker Jenkins has had enough of tall buildings, traffic, and business meetings to determine the next app that will change the world. He's sold his technology firm for billions and traded it for Steeple Ridge Horse Farm in rural Vermont.
Missy Marino has worked at the boarding stable and farm since she was a teen, and she's always dreamed of owning it. But her ex-husband left her with a truckload of debt making her fantasies of owning the farm unfulfilled.
When she meets Tucker, she starts having a new kind of fantasy-one where they work with the horses together. Tucker didn't come to the country to find a new wife, but he supposes a woman could help him start over in Steeple Ridge. Will Tucker and Missy be able to navigate the shaky ground between them to find a new beginning?

Review:

I am a big fan of anything Timeless Romance so I was excited about this new Timeless Romance Single. I was even more excited when it was a Liz Isaacson book about a handsome cowboy. Oooo Lala :) Missy has worked at the farm for years and knows all the ins and outs. It is sold which really makes her sad because she wanted to buy it. She wants to hate the new owner because it should have been her farm but when she sets eyes on him...sparks start a flyin'. It was a quick, clean read and you wanted to read on to see what was going to happen with the city guy, Mr. Tucker, the new owner of the farm. It was well written and I loved the farm setting for a Timeless Romance book.

Falling for Maria by Heather B. Moore

Synopsis:

At twenty-six, Maria is holding out for the perfect man to share the rest of her life with. Josh seems to be that man, but after months of dating, their relationship is at a stand-still. Maria plans to nudge Josh forward, but when the company she works for is bought out, her new boss Walker seems determined to change Maria's idea of the perfect man.

Review:

This is another fun, fast-paced novella. Maria is a business woman with spunk and wants to be able to wear and be who she wants. Her work was bought out and a lot more rules were put into place that she didn't like. The new boss, Walker, comes to train and discuss the new policies with the company. Maria stands up for what she wants and thinks, and of course that catches the eye of the new boss. She soon finds herself having feelings for the new boss. I quite liked this short and sweet novella. The characters were developed well, they had great chemistry and I didn't want to put it down.

Falling for Sydney by Heather B. Moore

Synopsis:

Sydney has been the perfect friend, the perfect daughter, and Rian checks off on her perfect fiance list. But when Sydney notices a strange truck parked in her fiance's parking spot, she's in for the surprise of her life. Not only is Rian not who she thought he was, but his brother Jake is about to turn her life upside down.

My Review:

I love novella's for my busy life when I just have time for something short and sweet. This one was very quick and went by too fast. I really enjoyed this book but I do wish it was longer. I can't imagine being Sydney and being blindsided by your fiance. I'm so glad he became an ex before he became her husband! I love how Jake, the brother, stepped in to help Sydney and to be there for her so she wasn't too lost. I liked the story line and wish that you got to see Jake and Sydney's friendship/relationship grow... it all happened so fast. They did have good chemistry though. I liked this book and look forward to the other books in the series.

Christmas Makeover by Cami Checketts

Synopsis:

Chelsea Jamison has been infatuated with Drew Stirling longer than she's loved playing basketball, high-top sneakers, and the Knicks. Unfortunately, all Drew sees is the kid who kicked his trash in the high school free throw contest and not the girl whose heart breaks into a fast dribble when he's near. Drew makes an unexpected visit home to Echo Ridge and their friendship picks up where they left off as they scheme to make a teenaged boy's Christmas dreams come true. When Chelsea realizes she's fallen for her best friend, she wonders if there is any hope of a relationship with Drew or if she's stuck in buddy-status for life.

My Review:

I loved this book and couldn't put it down. It is everything I love to read... sweet, clean, contemporary romance and to top it off Christmas! I love novellas these days, especially when they flow and have lots of info about the characters and story like this one did. Not only did I love the relationship but I loved the storyline about giving and helping a young boy and his family have a wonderful Christmas. This book left you smiling.

Happy New Year!

I can't believe it is 2017! I don't know where 2016 went. It was a good year with fun adventures, ups and downs, lot's of lessons learned and so many good books to fill my much needed break time with. I have a lot to look forward to in 2017 and I always enjoy setting goals or resolutions. Last year I was able to connect with many fabulous authors and I loved reading their books and receiving their emails. I've decided to start a blog where I can review these awesome books I read and spread the love for these great authors. I will most likely share other book info along the way also.

I love romance, especially sweet and contemporary romance books but I will give most any kind of romance a try as long as it is CLEAN!!
