Avalyn has always loved Bridger Hawk from a far knowing he would never choose her knowing his womanizing past. Little does Avalyn know he has always loved her too! A so called "friend" of Bridger kidnaps he and Avalyn and forces them to take part in some life-threatening crazy challenges. Wow these extreme challenges are wild and had me scared for them too! This book was filled with suspense and swoony clean romance and had me hooked to the very end. And speaking of the end...not what I was expecting! It was very well written and I loved the characters. Definitely a great read!

Review:

If this book is any indication of how this new Navy SEAL series is going to be then I think we are in for a wild ride. Talk about a dream of a setting for this book. I am now wishing I could be going to Hawaii in the future! It is now on my bucket list even more! Cami has a way of drawing you in to her stories. The book is full of suspense, adventure and of course swoony romance. I enjoyed the characters and the chemistry they had. It was an interesting story line involving a Duke and his daughter trying to hide from him. You find yourself hoping for the fun and adventurous Ally to have the life she has always hoped for. It is full of plot twists and is a captivating book that I highly recommend. Reading the preview book of the series is helpful I do suggest doing that.

Romancing the Singer by Cami Checketts

Synopsis:

Daisy Castleton hasn't been home since she won Singing with the Stars and a huge recording contract, but where else do you escape from the tabloid sharks when you discover you have throat cancer? Daisy wants nothing more than to disappear as she faces the fact that she may never sing again. Between family issues and an impossible to ignore attraction to her childhood hero, Daisy can't catch a break. After all, how do you stop yourself from falling in love with the perfect guy?
Jamison Hall came home to Snow Valley after a successful career in the European Basketball Association. When he literally runs Daisy off a hiking trail with his horse, he discovers a connection and love he'd never imagined. But Daisy is like a beautiful fairy: always out of reach and afraid even the best of men will burn her wings.
Can they survive a snow storm and the media storm, together?

Review:

Oh man this one really pulled at my heart strings! Daisy is a famous singer who has recently found out she has throat cancer and may not be able to sing again. No one knows about her cancer and she wants to keep it that way as long as possible. So she heads home to one of my favorite small towns... Snow Valley. Of course she sees Jamison one of her brother's best friends and they are drawn to each other but she pushes him away multiple times knowing she shouldn't get close to him because of her unsure future. The way he treats her and the sparks that fly makes you just wanting her to tell him so he can be there for her but you understand her point of view too with not wanting to get close to anyone. I loved their characters and his cockiness was funny. I couldn't put it down and read it very quickly. Cami just has a way to draw you right in from the beginning!

When Colt and Brikelle are forced to pretend they are married, Colt discovers there’s more to Brikelle than a feisty beauty who likes to tell him off.
Their deception grows until neither of them are sure what is reality and what is fiction. The only thing they know is if they don’t tell the truth soon, they might lose their careers and any chance to be together. Can Brikelle ever learn to love a beastly dog, or his owner?

Review:

Brikelle is not a fan of dogs ok she's not just not a fan she HATES them. As she went for a run she was chased by a huge dog... I have to say I would have reacted just like Brikelle. Little does she know that that huge dog would change her life forever. Brikelle got the job of decorating a home that could help in getting a lot more jobs and boost her career and when she got there... there was the owner of that big dog also working on the house. Ooo La La...the home owner thought that they were a couple... a married couple...due to their interaction and oh boy the sparks started flying. I love their interaction through out the book. Colt is such a gentleman but does feel bad about their physical contact without really knowing Brikelle but they just can't deny their chemistry and their interest in each other. This was a funny, cute, and swoon worthy book. I loved Brikelle and Colt.

How to Kiss a Billionaire by Cami Checketts

Synopsis:

Miriam Salisbury escapes to Oregon to avoid a boyfriend who won't take no for an answer, killing her beloved cat to prove it. When her father sends Clay Browning to protect her, she's certain he's lost his mind. As far as she's concerned Clay's experience is limited to posing for the camera, charming women, and making fun of her. He's been teasing her since they were children and she's never gotten over the way he threw crawdads at her at church picnics.
Clay retired from the military and entered the world of private security. When he gets the call to protect Miriam he's excited to be around his lifelong crush. As expected, he teases her nonstop and the only thing he takes seriously is her security. He knows she'd never give him a chance and he can't help but give her a hard time.
After Miriam is dumped in the freezing ocean on a crabbing expedition and Clay saves her from drowning and freezing to death, she takes a second look at her hired gun. But opening up to him is more terrifying than facing her stalker.
As events escalate to a frenzied climax, Miriam and Clay must put aside past grudges in the hope of finding a lasting love for their future.

Review:

This is a story of a long time love that finally got a chance. Clay has always been in love with Miriam but thought that they would just always be friends when her father contacted him to go find and protect her. Miriam is surprised when Clay showed up and was grateful to have him around. Clay was still the usual tease that he has always been to her but they had a good time and he was such a gentleman. With some steamy clean scenes and lots of back and forth you just wish they would clear things up so they would know what each other were thinking... And kiss!! It made for a romantic read with a humorous side and suspense to top it off. Christmas was mentioned but I wish it was a little more Christmasy... what can I say I love Christmas! :)

When he finds a job as a bodyguard for Mikayla Lambert, a billionaire heiress who has been tormented by a stalker for four years, he’s caught up in family drama that threatens this beautiful woman he’s becoming enamored with and might also endanger his son. Can Matt protect everyone and save Christmas for his son, or will the stalker succeed at kidnapping Mikayla and destroying any chance at love between them?

Review:

It's another great Christmas novella filled with a lot of suspense. Matt needed a job to get by so he took the job as a bodyguard and when he walked in to the interview he felt an instant connection with Mikayla the billionaire heiress. I can't imagine living her life being stalked for four years... Scary! Matt's son is adorable and I loved his funny personality and the interaction between he, Matt and Mikayla is great. If you love steamy but clean romance this book has just that. The chemistry between Mikayla and Matt is heart stopping. The ending was not what I imagined which always makes for a fabulous read.

Review:

This is a fast paced holiday romance novella that I read in one sitting because it was that good. It is a sweet, Christmasy, quick read. This book takes place in Logan, Utah... I lived there for a couple years and went to many basketball games which are a part of this book. I loved this book and how it took me back to those fun college times. The characters were great... I loved how Tyrese was a gentleman that just really wanted to win Kazlyn's heart and she is sassy and didn't fall for his charm right away. I enjoyed the way they interacted and the relationship that developed. Cami has a way of drawing you in to her stories with her descriptions, storyline development, a little suspense and of course swoony romance- oo la la. This is part of the Snow Valley Romance books which I love!

The Fearless Groom by Cami Checketts

Synopsis:

Izzy Knight walked away from her father's billions and his Titans football team to become a nurse practitioner at a children's hospital. She's busy and accomplished and certainly has no room in her life for a larger-than-life football player who goes through women faster than she completes a shift at the hospital.
Xavier Newton loves football but hates the games that go along with it. When the owner of the Titans forces him and his buddies to be sold like cattle at a bachelor auction he barely endures the event, until a feisty brunette bids half a million dollars for him. He's completely drawn to Izzy, but when he finds out her father is the owner of the Titans sparks fly and everybody's loyalties are challenged. Can these two find love when they don't know who's waiting to tackle them from the blindside?

Review:

Check out the cover of this new clean sporty romance... that was enough to get me to read it! Hunky football player Xavier and cute sassy nurse Izzy meet on their way into a big event. Xavier is not thrilled to be auctioned off for a date at the event and Izzy doesn't want to bid at the event but her big wig father, who she doesn't like, told her he would donate the money to the hospital she works at if she bids on a certain football player. When they realize who each other are they were both out to make this date interesting... little did they know the connection between them would be steamy. This book had a great balance of swoon worthy clean romance, drama, suspense and values. I loved these characters and I didn't want to put the book down. I look forward to reading the other Texas Titan Football Romances.

Can she trust Harrison to protect her or should she give up her dreams?

Review:

If you love books about hunky athletes that meet a special someone and have amazing chemistry than you will love this book. College football star Harrison started his career but was given a different job by his boss to help his friends daughter Grace get her life put back together and figured out. He didn't know what he was getting himself into but the connection between the two of them from day one was undeniable. Harrison was such a gentleman and I loved that! This book was also suspenseful and the end was not what I was expecting. This was a sweet but suspense filled quick read and it kept me turning the pages.  I was super excited to see that Cami Checketts was going to be a part of this series. I have loved every book I have read of hers so I knew it wouldn't disappoint and I was right. This is the last book in the Destined For Love: Mansions series and it was a perfect addition to all of these fabulous books.

The Disenchanted One by Cami Checketts

Synopsis:

Marissa Yates fell in love with Byron Judd three years ago, but she caught him holding another woman and she ran. She's built a great life for herself and has kept Byron at arm's length, only talking to him through phone, email, or text. She knows if she sees him again, he'll charm his way right back into her heart.
Byron has no clue why Marissa ran from his life, but he does know his only chance to win her back is his brother's wedding. His brother's fiance, Summer, schemes up a Lonely Billionaire Pact to help him be reunited with the only woman who has ever broken his heart.

Review:

This is a VERY short story about two people who were in love and because of a misunderstanding were not together anymore. Byron and Marissa stayed in contact but never saw each other until a wedding three years later. I loved it! Marissa's reaction a couple times was maybe a bit childish but she was very upset. It is a companion story to Cami's book The Daring One... I have not read that one yet but this one had a lot of info and back story for you to not feel lost in such a short amount of pages. I wished it was longer but it was sweet, clean, and swoon worthy.

Christmas Makeover by Cami Checketts

Synopsis:

Chelsea Jamison has been infatuated with Drew Stirling longer than she's loved playing basketball, high-top sneakers, and the Knicks. Unfortunately, all Drew sees is the kid who kicked his trash in the high school free throw contest and not the girl whose heart breaks into a fast dribble when he's near. Drew makes an unexpected visit home to Echo Ridge and their friendship picks up where they left off as they scheme to make a teenaged boy's Christmas dreams come true. When Chelsea realizes she's fallen for her best friend, she wonders if there is any hope of a relationship with Drew or if she's stuck in buddy-status for life.

My Review:

I loved this book and couldn't put it down. It is everything I love to read... sweet, clean, contemporary romance and to top it off Christmas! I love novellas these days, especially when they flow and have lots of info about the characters and story like this one did. Not only did I love the relationship but I loved the storyline about giving and helping a young boy and his family have a wonderful Christmas. This book left you smiling.
