Cole & Jillian by Jennifer Peel

Synopsis:

Can a few hours really change your life?
Jillian Jones knows a thing or two about the country music scene, and she wants no part of it after divorcing her country singer ex-husband. But as fate would have it, she's seated next to country legend Cole Pendleton on a red-eye flight home to Nashville from Las Vegas. Between her emotional state, her fear of flying, and maybe a little vodka, she finds herself taking comfort in Cole's arms and lips during their four-hour flight.
Cole Pendleton's life changes the night he wakes up to his beautiful seatmate, Jillian. He doesn't know what it is about her, but he's drawn to her like no one before. As the night wears on he's determined to do whatever it takes to get to know her better. He finds himself promising her he'll come looking for her once they're both ready to move forward with a relationship. But he has two problems, his profession and his past.
Jillian finds herself wanting to believe him, but can she trust his midnight promises? Or will the piano man be like her ex-husband and let his promises fade away in the light of day?

Review:

I am a country girl at heart! Give me a handsome cowboy that can sing and I go weak in the knees. I loved this book. Cole meets Jillian on a flight back to Nashville and the sparks fly! He was there for Jillian from day one when she was scared to death of flying and to top off the flight they shared a steamy kiss. Jillian didn't want to get caught up in the music world again... she's been there done that and was left with a broken heart after many years. Cole has been through some rough times and is getting his life back on track but he can't keep thoughts of Jillian out of his head. The chemistry between these two was amazing and you wanted to keep turning those pages to see what would happen next. You are cheering for the cowboy the whole way but feel bad for Jillian and her conflicting emotions. It is not squeaky clean but it is a clean romance novella. Jennifer Peel is becoming one of my favorite authors. I was listening to the radio and the song What If's by Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina came on and it made me think of Cole and Jillian! https://youtu.be/fM8V1XOI-14 :)
