More Trouble in Loveland by Jennifer Peel

Synopsis:

Charlee Jensen-Carter has been looking forward to her first Christmas with her new husband, Ryan, and her adorable stepson for weeks. Not only is her dad tying the knot, but she’s looking forward to two weeks of no exes, no drama, and especially no trouble. At least that’s what she thinks.
First, she gets talked into wearing red hooker heels again. Next, she finds herself trying to save her dad’s wedding. And if that isn’t bad enough, more than one ex shows up, and she's suddenly in the middle of more trouble than she ever bargained for.
Will she ever find the right moment to give Ryan the best Christmas present ever? Or will her Christmas hopes and dreams die a fiery death in this comical holiday tale?

Review:
This was a little different than the usual clean romance books I usually read. This was a funny book about newlyweds, Charlee and Ryan, and their crazy family, friends and exes at Christmastime. I haven't read the first book, Trouble in Loveland, but I feel like Jennifer did I great job with the back story so you don't feel lost but it did make me want to read their love story in the first one. Charlee lives quite the busy hectic life and her wittiness makes it funny! I love her relationship with her hubby Ryan (which is great name for a hubby ;)) and Josh her step-son. I loved the real life feel to the book and that it had me laughing and relating to it.

Pianos & Promises by Jennifer Peel

Synopsis:

From Best Selling and Award Winning Author, Jennifer Peel, comes a three-story collection of contemporary romances. Set in Nashville, the city of Music, Pianos and Promises follows the interwoven lives of three different couples.
-Christopher & Jaime
-Beck & Call
-Cole & Jillian

Review:

I really enjoyed all three of these stories. They were all so different and swoon worthy in their own ways. I enjoy the characters and their chemistry. I felt like they seemed very real. They can be stand alone novella's but were interwoven together. I love the theme of music used throughout the novella's. If I had to pick a favorite it would be Cole & Jillian. You can find my review of each novella right here on my blog.

Cole & Jillian by Jennifer Peel

Synopsis:

Can a few hours really change your life?
Jillian Jones knows a thing or two about the country music scene, and she wants no part of it after divorcing her country singer ex-husband. But as fate would have it, she's seated next to country legend Cole Pendleton on a red-eye flight home to Nashville from Las Vegas. Between her emotional state, her fear of flying, and maybe a little vodka, she finds herself taking comfort in Cole's arms and lips during their four-hour flight.
Cole Pendleton's life changes the night he wakes up to his beautiful seatmate, Jillian. He doesn't know what it is about her, but he's drawn to her like no one before. As the night wears on he's determined to do whatever it takes to get to know her better. He finds himself promising her he'll come looking for her once they're both ready to move forward with a relationship. But he has two problems, his profession and his past.
Jillian finds herself wanting to believe him, but can she trust his midnight promises? Or will the piano man be like her ex-husband and let his promises fade away in the light of day?

Review:

I am a country girl at heart! Give me a handsome cowboy that can sing and I go weak in the knees. I loved this book. Cole meets Jillian on a flight back to Nashville and the sparks fly! He was there for Jillian from day one when she was scared to death of flying and to top off the flight they shared a steamy kiss. Jillian didn't want to get caught up in the music world again... she's been there done that and was left with a broken heart after many years. Cole has been through some rough times and is getting his life back on track but he can't keep thoughts of Jillian out of his head. The chemistry between these two was amazing and you wanted to keep turning those pages to see what would happen next. You are cheering for the cowboy the whole way but feel bad for Jillian and her conflicting emotions. It is not squeaky clean but it is a clean romance novella. Jennifer Peel is becoming one of my favorite authors. I was listening to the radio and the song What If's by Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina came on and it made me think of Cole and Jillian! https://youtu.be/fM8V1XOI-14 :)

Beck & Call by Jennifer Peel

Synopsis:

What happens when a dashing Englishman and an almost famous pianist collide? Sparks. And lots of them. Call's life always seems to be on the cusp of working out, only to unravel at the last moment. For instance, when she meets the guy. The man she's been fantasizing about from afar. The one who walks his beautiful Siberian husky around her neighborhood. Their first meeting is nothing like she hoped; in fact, she wishes she never met him.
Charles Beckett is in need of a good dog-sitter, but he gets more than he bargained for when a cheeky American bartender shows up at his house fifteen minutes late. The job interview quickly turns into a sparring match and Call leaves vowing to run him over with her truck the next time she sees him. It's up to their dogs now to bring the pair together.
Will Call finally have one of her dreams come true? Or will the Englishman be another check mark in her long list of unrealized promises?

Review:

Call is trying to make ends meet while taking care of her teenage brother. She works at the gym, at a bar and possibly taking care of a dog. She went to meet with the dog's owner, who happens to be the guy she passes walking her dog and that she fantasizes about but... it wasn't a success. Their paths cross again later and she isn't too thrilled but they begin a friendship. I liked how they started out as friends and getting to know each other instead of jumping right in to something. She is a very hard worker and example to those around her. He is very nice and wants to help her out but she wants to do it all on her own. She is very sassy and he is an "Englishman" with an accent so it makes for some funny dialogue. It's a fun, light, clean read but does have some mild language and drinking (she does work at a bar). I enjoyed the development of the story... It's another great read from Jennifer.

Christopher & Jaime by Jennifer Peel

Synopsis:

Doesn't everyone say you should marry your best friend? Jaime Seger has two goals in life: marry  her best friend, the man that owns her heart and soul, and buy her very own grand piano. But Christopher McKay, who has no idea Jaime's been in love with him since she was eleven years old, never gets the memo and marries someone else. When Christopher's wife dies, Jaime finds herself helping him raise his young daughter. A year later, she is on the other end of a very unlikely proposal, promising everything she thought she ever wanted. But can their friendship survive a marriage of convenience?

Review:

I really enjoyed this book. It is about best friends that have always been there for each other and she has always loved him. She is a great mother to his daughter and just wants life to be different with him. It definitely pulls at your heart strings with all the different emotions that you feel while you read it. The characters were developed very well and you felt what they were going through with them. I liked how it was written by getting his life story and thoughts through his journal entries. There are a couple swear words, a little talk about drinking, and marital issues but it is still clean just probably not squeaky clean. I loved the whole book but I really loved the ending. Happy endings make me oh so happy!
