The Resolved Warrior by Jennifer Youngblood

Synopsis:

It has been six months to the day since Sutton Smith's son Doug, a Navy SEAL, was killed in a rescue mission that went wrong. Add to the list Sutton's failed marriage and losing the love of his life, the heartbroken billionaire is at the end of his rope.
Sutton embarks on a one day mission to do all of Doug's favorite activities one last time before focusing on all he's lost. However, an unexpected encounter at a diner changes everything, making Sutton realize he might just be the answer to someone else's prayers.
At the end of the day, he's left with a choice. Throw in the towel or buck up and resolve to become the warrior his son Doug would've been proud of.

Review:

This is a very different and captivating short story about a Navy SEAL and his struggles in life. Sutton has many hardships and I love how his attitude changed when he was able to help someone in need. It was a bit suspenseful and not a love story but it was a great introduction to a new series about Navy SEALS and "The Warrior Project." I was drawn in by this story and I'm excited to read all the books that will be released in this series. I LOVE the authors involved... so I can't wait to read about these handsome tough guys.

Stars: 4.5
